Temple
Sebastian Temple is a multidisciplinary artist whose work combines ceramics, drawing, and sculpture with materials that are easily available at hand. Detritus, raw timber and scraps pilfered from previous works marinate together in a state of continuous becoming. This ongoing process incorporates everything in its path, including studio furniture, stools, wheels, walls, concrete foundations, ladders, and bins. Through his work, Temple investigates studio rituals and mythologies with the intention of revealing processes usually hidden. As a result, his works reflect the site in which they are made and aim to facilitate a more intimate engagement with our surroundings.
