Working across sculpture and photography, Beth Maslen’s practice engages familiar objects and materials to generate poetic alternatives to existing frameworks of understanding. In her hands, found and domestic objects are transformed from familiar references into structures that question utility and ornamentation. Her installations balance form and fragility in both materiality and comprehension.
