Paul
Yore

Paul Yore is a prominent queer artist whose iconoclastic works engage with ritual, queer identity, popular culture and neo-liberalism through his playful visual language and accessibly familiar forms. The origin point for Yore’s art is wonderment, followed by a curiosity about materialities, forms and images. Utilising his signature Pop style, an innovation developed around the logic and methodology of assemblage, Yore conjoins multiple materials and images to create dynamic hybrids. In this collision of forms, Yore opens up possibilities for new meanings by detaching things from their original context, thus exposing the material and social conditions that underpin the circulation of objects and images.

Paul Yore is represented by Hugo Michell Gallery, Tarntanya/Adelaide.
