Christopher
Langton

Christopher Langton’s practice explores the fertile territory where biology, technology and popular culture intersect. Drawing on the visual language of science fiction, speculative evolution and the natural world, he creates hybrid forms that are at once seductive, playful and disquieting. Langton combines traditional making techniques with digital technologies and custom-built fabrication processes. His sculptures challenge conventional distinctions between the organic and the artificial, inviting reflection on contemporary concerns surrounding ecological instability, technological acceleration and humanity’s increasingly complex relationship with the living world.

Christopher Langton is represented by Tolarno Galleries, Naarm/Melbourne.
