Naoise
Halloran-Mackay

Naoise Halloran-Mackay’s practice explores intersections of architecture, memory and the natural world. Informed by a background in residential carpentry, his work considers how human and animal ecologies are shaped by development, growth and extraction. Working with ornamental woodcraft techniques, he investigates relationships between materials, images and the environments from which they are derived, constructing scenes and spaces that exist beyond immediate experience.
