Join Deaf artist and Auslan presenter Luke D. King for an Auslan-led tour of Melbourne Sculpture Biennale 2026 at Billilla Mansion.
Explore selected works through a Deaf and visual arts perspective, looking closely at sculpture, materials, artistic ideas and the stories behind the works. Presented directly in Auslan, the tour offers Deaf and Auslan-using visitors an opportunity to experience and discuss contemporary sculpture in an accessible and engaging environment.
Luke D. King is a Deaf visual artist, Auslan user, and access consultant based in Naarm/Melbourne. His practice spans visual art, performance, and language, with a strong focus on Deaf culture, access, and inclusive engagement. Luke regularly facilitates Auslan-led gallery tours, workshops, and artist talks across the arts sector, working closely with institutions such as the NGV, Art Gallery of NSW, and Heide Museum of Modern Art to create meaningful and culturally informed access experiences for Deaf and hard of hearing audiences.
